Black Lives Matter Stance

I have given my stance on this topic, or a little preview on it, a few times on this page before. I am here to mention it again, but this will include much more from what my Professor shared with me that I agree on.  "The Black Lives Matter organization is all based on marxism. This means that all people can fit into two categories "pressed" and "oppressors". Their solution is to give all the money to the government and allow the government to fix it for us. "One thing that is appreciated on this note is that there are those who are being oppressed. We do need to help those who are being oppressed, but to say that there are only two (oppressed or oppressor) is unbiblical. "If you look at the Black Lives Matter website, there is so much you can learn about what they specifically believe. Black Lives Matter focuses on way more than what is shown on the front lines. The reason that their website is so confusing is that Marisim purposefully mixes up words...

Another Thought

My relaxing time in the evenings really does seem to clear my mind, and get me thinking all at the same time. Here we go:  When this all started- when the deaths of men by police really caught the news this year- I was really not on any side. If I had to choose one, I am not sure what I would do. I would join the protestors because what was done was wrong, but I would not because I was sure that not all police are like that. And if I have not mentioned it enough, I hate that police only get negative attention. No one ever recognizes them for all the good they do for this country.  But, it has really gotten me thinking. People have made claims like "You have to choose a side" or "You can't be in-between" and while I agree with that, and I am on the #BLM side in all reality, I think these thoughts need to be mentioned. Yes, I was sheltered as a child and my parents kept me pretty sheltered still. But, when all of this happened people were accusing you of being rac...

My Thoughts

I was thinking to myself last night and so many thoughts started building up in my mind and I want to share them with you. The condition of the USA right now has really been on my mind for the past few weeks. Even though I have been all over the world and seen so many different places and cultures, I never knew that racism still existed for the Blacks here. (I read an article that explained that most Blacks want to be called that, so if that bothers you I am sorry.) People are making rash comments in my opinion at the same time as they may be exactly what this world- and I- needed to here. One of which is "If you are not racist you are anti-racist." Pretty much, you need to choose a side. By doing nothing you are saying what side you are on. While I have not participated in riots or rallies, I have not signed anything, and I have not donated money or time because I'm poor in both of those areas, it hurts my heart to hear that this is a real problem that many Blacks have t...

Racism and Riots

I really don't know how to start this article. I don't know what to say. There are so many words to be said and so many emotions that I cannot put into words. I should probably start at what seems like the best place to start: the beginning. The beginning for me was about a week and a half ago- with the first death that caught the new's attention. I am horrible with names, especially of people I have never met and people who have passed away already. Evidentally this guy was going on a morning jog one day, and two 'white men' (apparently one of whom was an ex-policeman) killed him. The problem was, for me, I saw it everywhere. I mean, I understand that it is on the news, but so many artists and social media 'stars' were posting about it. I did not want to dwell on the fact that someone had died and I did not like thinking about it.  The problem is, there was more that made me mad. I am not out enough, and I live in a private community with little bla...
